    At this point I can probably forget about, marathon running again. Or any running. Unless I’m looking for pain.

    No. After a microdiscectomy or even two, you can still marathon run. Even after a one level fusion you can run long distances. It is just that the remaining discs have to be pristine.

    That’s good to know. Many people live with herinated disk like my suit and fiction just fine. Maybe I don’t need anther surgury. I have till end of year if I get where it’s covered 100 by insurance. That still give me a few months to see how I continue to function. But running like this I would not do.

    Main thing I need to knew now is if the large fragment in the canal from herinated disk or fragment from grape that became displayed or other fragment as you stated.
