Dural ectasia is a condition where the dura which can normally hold pressure develops cysts where the dural sac expands out similar to the “bubble” seen on a car tire when the tire wall weakens. This condition can lead to Tarlov cysts, normally found in the sacrum that can expand and actually erode bone. Even with bone erosion, these cysts are normally asymptomatic.

Post-op ectasia is not typical as most surgery does not cause this condition and most spinal surgery is performed from the back side which doesn’t affect the front of the dura (“anterior epidural hyper signal lesion”).

wow. thank you for your reply. I wish you always be happy and healthy.I live in a country on the Asian continent. How can I send my CD of mri to you? or Can I have your email to Send the cd of my mri via a website like wetransfer.com? I know you are very busy , but I have done two lumbar fusion, but in the first case, the screws were very badly placed and my pain was increased, and in the second surgery stage removed the screws out of my lumbar but two screws were broken in the s1 and the doctors could not remove them, and now my l3-l4 vertebral was screwed and I did a new mri two weeks ago and my pain is still like first days. My pain is such that it gets worse when sitting and standing, but decreases with lying down. Doctors say they do not know what to do for me and I have to go to Germany or the United States to test there, but I can not go there beacuse of …… . please help me to have a good life. I really need your great opinion. please

I understand your dilemma but my Spanish is poor and I am useless in any other language other than English (my nurses tell me my English is just as poor).
