Thank you, I am glad to pay fee and will follow up with your office on Monday.
I did follow up with a Dr. who said that I ham 80-85% fused. I have lot “woven” bone behind the cage and some inside cage. It is white. I think I may have one small “strand” connecting top to bottom right behind that cage, however he says I am almost there.
I believe perhaps radiologist is not calling for full fusion until he see full strand top to bottom, however it has only been 6 months. I also just had flex/ext X rays which show no movement of the pre-existing spondylolisthesis.
My symptoms are much better at the 6 month mark. I walk 5-6000 steps/day for an avg of 2.5 – 3 miles.
What are your thoughts on all of the above please?
Thank you
Thank you.
My surgeon did in fact walk me thorough all the images and showed me areas of bone mass. Of course, I don’t know what the images are suppose to look like. So how is there such a disconnect between the surgeon and the radiologist ?
is there anything I can do to double check like flex/ext X rays or doing another Ct scan somewhere else?
Who trumps who in this; the surgeon or the radiologist ?
Perhaps I can send the CD to you for your review !?
in reply to: Right Hip Pain after Fusion #25812Thank you, although my back is better I have a long way to go with PT and rehab.
I also need labrum surgery on left shoulder, which I would like to have in the near future. I am told this surgery is in a beach chair.
Would any thing would preclude me from having shoulder surgery being 6-7 months post TLIf ? I don’t want to screw up healing process with spine fusion and would like to get shoulder fixed asap !
I am concerned with being positioning during the shoulder surgery, being twisted the wrong way while being moved, etc. Unless, I am awake I wouldn’t trust any one!
Thank you as always.
in reply to: Right Hip Pain after Fusion #25651I am 4.5 months out of TILF and would like to take something for the hip pain mentioned above. Tylenol does nothing and I don’t want to take opiates.
Can I take NSAIDs at this point or prednisone ? If not what can I take to reduce pain and selling in hip ? I walk around 1.5 miles/day total.
I still have not had CT scan yet. My doc will not give until the 6 month mark.
I am getting MRI of hip tomorrow to see what is going on.
Thank you!
