Need help with understanding what my mri results mean please , thank you

    Symptoms

Constant Aching pain in my neck, when I move my neck around it can feel like I’m jarrying it right arm has pins and needles on and off , arm felt muscle weak I guess you say aching type of thing i could still use it and lift it no issues there but hands a little clumsy not all the time, no arm pain.

Currently on mobic and lyrica (day 4) seemed to had a little perceived improvement, as in dont need to take strong pain meds everyday, still have aching pain neck but no where as and as before , don’t seem to have the aching arm and pin and needles , still a little clumsy with hand again not all the time.

C4/5 there is very mild left neuroforaminal stenosis related to disk osteophyte complex, no neurocompressive lesion identified.
C5/6 there is mild to moderate bilateral neuroforaminal stenosis by disc osteophyte complex though no convincing neurocompressive lesion is identified . This appears more pronounced on the left

C6/7 disc osteophyte complex contributes to mild left neuroforaminal stenosis .no central canal stenosis. Cord signal normal through out cervical spine. The facet joints appear normal.

    Comment
Mld neuroforaminal stenoses through the cervical spine from c4/5 through to the cervicothoracic junction most pronounced at c5/6 where they are mild to moderate. No neural compression detected.

Arm pain and weakness can be caused by compression of the nerve root in the cervical spine but can also be caused by compression in the shoulder, elbow and wrist (thoracic outlet syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome and carpel tunnel syndrome-see website).

You do have “mild to moderate bilateral neuroforaminal stenosis by disc osteophyte complex though no convincing neurocompressive lesion is identified” I am confused by this reading as “moderate neuroforaminal stenosis” can cause a C6 nerve problem (see “symptoms of cervical nerve injury” on this website”.

thank you for responding, what would your recommendations be given what re report states??

what would your treatment plan be if i was your patient, given my syptoms. im confused as to whether i need to keep on the current medications in the hope it helps(im concerned im doing damage while waiting) or whether to take the next step what ever that would be as i have no idea what to do next.

With the confusion regarding your MRI reading and the inability to examine you, I cannot point you to a treatment program. I think you need to see a well qualified and experienced spine surgeon to evaluate you, discover the correct diagnosis and determine a good treatment program.
