I will post the news inregards the specailist once I have seen the neuro department as I was referred on after seeing a neurosurgeon.

I was wondering if taking Lyrica helps heal the nerve damage or just stops the pain, if it just stops the pain how do you if know if you have more nerve damage or whether nerve is healing??

    thank you for your time

Lyrica partially stops the nerve from conducting. This medication does not “cure” the nerve. The only medication that has a beneficial effect on a sick nerve root is a corticosteroid. Healing of the nerve is mother nature.
