I was having some pain in the shoulder before the surgery. I was hoping the surgery would alleviate some of this pain. I do have pain that seems to come from the right side of my neck and tracks into my shoulder and shoulder blade. Physical therapy seems to help some of this. I was just wondering if it’s normal to experience pain in the shoulder on the same side as the incision for this type of surgery. Thank you for your input. P.S. I saw my surgeon and she is impressed with how quickly I seem to be fusing.
