in reply to: Pain in the opposite leg after a laminectomy #28686
Thanks!
I went to my PC ‘Dr a couple days ago. Got a cortisone shot in the left hip to help with the mild soreness at left butt and steroid tablets to take for 7 days.
Dr said it is most like inflammation and maybe some arthritis that can occur after surgeries. He also said since I have no pain or burning that radiates there should be no concern and this may happen . He said to do core exercises to prevent this.
I told him I have my follow up appointment with surgeon next month to see how I’m doing and ask if MRI may be necessary to see how everything looks. He said most likely not necessary and he may have me get an x-ray at most to look at spine.
As for as the mild pain in the lower left ab area it stop a few days prior to that appointment. Just some tightness around that left hip at most.
Do you agree with his findings are have a different opinion?
Thanks!

in reply to: Pain in the opposite leg after a laminectomy #28654It’s the front from where lower AB end and thigh meet on left side. The mild discomfort is a,bit better today.
Initially I was thinking maybe a light groin stain but no way to be certain if that or something else. My Dr think it’s not serious but if continue return for blood work and testing.
Now the soreness at butt and hip area seems like inflammation. May need a cortisone shot for that. Nothing putting me in horrible pain but mild disconfort a little.
in reply to: Pain in the opposite leg after a laminectomy #28635Is it possible it could be inflammation? I do have a little soreness at the left butt area. Nothing bad. I had it on right 3 months ago and got a cortisone shot that helped.
in reply to: Pain in the opposite leg after a laminectomy #28634Hi,
I doubt that this has anything to do with my back but I am experiencing on and off light pain or stabbing that last for a couple seconds that come and go throughout the day. Below the belly and to the left but slightly lower..
My primary care ‘Dr said to take ibuprofen and ice the area a few days and if it persist come back for blood work and cat scan.
in reply to: Pain in the opposite leg after a laminectomy #28304It’s going on 7 month’s since revision surgery. Doing well overall. Still have the blister feeling in toes but it does not bother me. Other than that time knot on back is going down.
