in reply to: what is normal average disc in cervical spine mri #34486Yes u right i need to talking just a bout the disc and what topic i talk (and i spread to talking a bout effect disc degeneration on facets and arthritis and how its cause Central stenosis (stenosis)
Ok if i want to ask q open other topic more realtive tags (but all things facet disc work together and caused stenosis so its contact (but i need to talk mostly in the topic
I m apologize a bout not orderMeni
in reply to: what is normal average disc in cervical spine mri #34469You say “Narrowing of the disk height by a small percentage is not an indication for surgery.”
What u call small percentage (I want to show u also (in my specific cases i don’t think its small percentage also c3-4 is degeneration (also losses high)
C4-5 losses high 2mm (max 2.5 mm)
** I m not spine surgeon but my opinion it’s is bad and not going to hold the facet FROM worn out (this was my first mr 2016 (u r expert and i think u also need to see this in your eyes (say u opinion (also maybe others expert can point (also if the think its normal (if facet arthritis developed and bone to bone ,its very relative this wronge opinion
(I m hold history paper also from before one month spine surgeon writing its normal (it is doesn’t if i could develop some cervical stenosis in 60 old its not normal but who maybe its happening more quick (my opinion even i m not spine surgeon)(i hope no off course but i realise i see by my eyes all mri 2016,2020,21 i know how to measurements the disc (i know to look facet in xr i know my symptoms
Its arthritis even cervical spondylosis i have (dr from Florida do great video on YouTube u can see him (and he also gave me a lot information (this great lecture )
Cervical stenosis
ThanksMeni
in reply to: ADR FACET AND ARTHRITIS #34462i read your topic “It turns out that genetics plays a big role in the determination of the health of a disc. There have been reports of degenerative changes above and below implanted artificial discs so the additional motion may not solve the dilemma of continuing degenerative changes” (https://neckandback.com/treatments/artificial-disc-replacement-adr-for-cervical-spine/)
this not write like what u say ear :(“The ADR in the cervical spine can reduce the chances of adjacent segment disease (ASD) by a very small percentage as compared to the ACDF”Meni
in reply to: what is normal average disc in cervical spine mri #34455“. 6 mm between C2-3 can be a normal finding.”
Its that measures space but not the measure the disc c2-3 (just in high point of Crosse the width (see very thin in point and max arrived to 4 mm (maybe also dark but c2-3 not available to replace i just point on example
But i clear the point when u measurements the disc in c2-3 its not 6 mm even not 4
So its different between the measurements the space in bone
To waht disc (this was very relative in one MRI I SEE .
U NOW understand me more
(If i see xr shows between bone 5.5 or 6 mm but mri show (the disc less that
.Meni
in reply to: ADR FACET AND ARTHRITIS #34453I understand why
1 . you say this (“The ADR in the cervical spine can reduce the chances of adjacent segment disease (ASD) by a very small percentage as compared to the ACD”
What u call very small?
So this surgery not give good device (more than acdf
So its. Sounds like its not very give nice advantage !Meni
