Happy Holidays to you, Dear Dr. Corenman!

You performed a Tlift of L5 on Nov 9, 2016. Over the past two years, I have gotten back into my fitness training and training my clients. I know I had severe nerve damage of numbness and pain in my right leg prior to the fusion. Over these two years, I believe my healing of spine and nerve damage has been quite good. I workout, I slow jog outside and when I saw you i could barely walk on the right leg. In the past 10 days, I have been concerned about feeling discomfort in my legs of quick nerve pains traveling down one leg or the other… similar to the pain I had experienced upon first having my spine sport injury. yikes, the Lord knows I don’t want to go back there again. Should I now get a 3.0 MRI follow up?
    Best to YOU and Yours!
I speak of you to all who need spine help! I AM ALWAYS THANKFUL IN FINDING YOU TO HELP ME.

If your symptoms are present greater than 6 weeks, are impairing and are not abating, then a new MRI would be appropriate. I would normally recommend PT but you are in such good shape that this step can be skipped. I thin a 3.0 tesla unit would be a good choice.

    Hi again, Dr. C!
I thank you for such a quick response over the busy end of year with everyone rushing to get themselves the gift of surgery. ;-). I will settle myself down a bit and work in some PT moves. Whats your thought on me getting chiropractic therapy at this time?
    Best,
    Dangerous D

Chiropractic therapy can be effective. Find one that works not only on manipulation but on stretching and soft-tissue work.

    Hi again Dr. C!
I tried the soft tissue therapy once a week over past few weeks. Some great vids on YouTube presented by physical therapists if someone else is looking for soft tissue therapy of the lumbar. The soft tissue therapy relieved the discomfort and numbness of lower leg and foot immediately; however, came back within an hour or two. I am booked for a 3T MRI tomorrow, Feb 25, in Nashville at the same place that did my last one that was sent to you. May I send this one to you also? My Cigna insurance would not approve stating I had to stay in the Memphis local area which does not have a 3T available; but, they do not care. So it is self pay for me.
Please advise if you will accept it.
    Best,
