I recently had an MRI and the doctor told me that there was nothing that can be done for my back and neck I just had to give it time. I had an MRI of both my back and neck due to pain and limited mobility.
Here is what the report reads… is it true there is nothing that can be done?

    RESULTS FOR THE NECK
    c2/3 – Normal for age
c3/4 – bulging annulus and facet arthropathy are noted with patent neuroforamina

c4/5 Facet arthopathy and uncovertebral spurring creat mild bilateral forminal narrowing

c5/6 less than 50% effacement of anterior subarachnoid space is seen by broad based disc spur complex. Slightly larger protusion is noted on the right side. Facet arthropathy and uncovertebral spurring create mild to moderate bilateral foraminal narrowing.

c6/7 less than 50% effacement of anterior subarachnoid space is seen by broad based disc spur complex. Milf bilateral foraminal narrowing is seen secondary to arthropathy.

    THE RESULT OF THE BACK

L3/4 A bulging annulus and facet arthropathy are noted with patent neuroforamina.

L5/S1 – Grade I-II anterolisthesis present with bilateral spondylolysis

The central canal within the lower thoracic cord is prominent. The paravertebral soft tissue and conus are otherwise normal.

There are many treatments that can be considered for your spinal disorders. These are both non-surgical and surgical. It really depends upon your intensity of symptoms and impairment from these disorders. See the section regarding “how to describe symptoms” to fully understand how to convey what you are suffering from and describe what problems you have.
