    Sir,
The healthcare professionals in the united states have an excellent reputation, more your research programs are more advanced than in france, so I allow myself to seek advice on your site for my spouse.
My partner suffers from degenerative myelopathy for 3 years.
3 interventions were carried out on him to avoid him wheelchair. What worked.
My spouse has been suffering from atrocious pains in the limbs. Crushing sensation at the toes and fingers. Loss of sensation of his legs at times.
The anti-pain centers we have here have certified him to be capable of nothing and remain deaf to his demands
The medications prescribed for it do not work either.
My spouse would like to be able to remove some of his pain in order to relive correctly.
I think it is not listened to in France and that the medicine here has little interest for its state.

    Would you have advice?
    Thank you

Chronic pain is not common to myelopathy patients as the spinal cord has no pain receptors. Patients with myelopathy have difficulty walking, problems with fine motor skills and weird areas of numbness and tingling. Now pain can occasionally occur from cord compression but it is much more common to have pain from spinal degeneration or nerve root compression. I assume that he has had surgery to decompress the cord.

    Hello
Quite, his operations have taken place to decompress the marrow.
But since his first operation he really suffers.
He actually has difficulties to walk, but the pain handicaps him even more.
A fourth operation would be considered, but is really the solution?
Do you think that there is an effective medication for only relieving pain?

Where is his pain and when does it occur. See the section https://neckandback.com/conditions/how-to-describe-your-history-and-symptoms-of-neck-shoulder-and-arm-pain/ to fully describe what hurts, where it hurts and what activities cause the pain.
