    Hello Dr. Corenman,
I went the other day for my two year check-up with my spine doctor and he took a new Flexion & Extension X-RAY of cervical spine, and told me everything looks fine and the C4-5 level is stable and I don’t have instability no more. Dr.Corenman he told me that the aching pain and muscle spasms I get is from all the the Severe arthritis that I have in my cervical spine. Dr.Corenman the X-RAYS I posted on the forum that you viewed for me is from 2015, and would like for you to review my new Flexion & Extension X-RAYS of 2017 for me and then let me know your opinion on your findings especially the C4-5 level. I’m going to pick up a copy of my Flexion & Extension X-RAYS on a CD-ROM and have a friend put them on here for me so you can view them for me and then give me your opinion on your findings. I would like your opinion because you know a lot when it comes to cervical spine issues and you’re a great doctor. I will try to post my new Flexion & Extension X-RAYS in a few days. I truly appreciate all your advice and Thank You again !! Have a great day!

    Hello Dr.Corenman,
You wrote that “The global level of my C4-5 is moderately Unstable.” Again, this is disc, ligaments and facet degenerative change that cause this Translation.

    Dr.Corenman,
What you wrote above about my C4-5 level being Moderately Unstable, would this problem improve over time ? Especially the Translation I have or would it stay the same or this problem does not improve over time ?

    Thank You,

    Hi Dr.Corenman,
Just want to know if the Translation I have at C4-5 level does it improve over time or would I be moderately Unstable at C4-5 level for the rest of my life unless if I have surgery to stabilize that level or would it autofuse itself like the C5-6 level did over time. Dr.Corenman the question in the above post will explain what I’m concerned with.Dr Coreman could you please let me know about this. Have a great day !!

    Thank You !!

It is possible that the instability at C4-5 has improved with further degenerative disc disease (making the disc stiffer) but I would be suspicious of significant improvement in a short period of time. If flexion/extension X-rays show improvement, make sure you used the same effort to flex your neck as you did the time that this slip was noted.
