I am going to my family doctor and asking her about asking the doctor to let me wear one. I need it to feel more secure.
I AM going to wear one, but like you say have the surgery as he is doing c2 c3 and part of c4. Wish I knew what kind of collar to get? Do you know the name of it. Would it be a hard one or soft one? Would putting on a collar hurt his surgery?
I want to thank you for helping me. thanks Carol

The Miami J is a good collar and one I recommend.

I have my patients use a waterproof foam collar when they take a shower (Philadelphia collar) and change back to the Miami J when their neck is dry.

If they are careful, they can take a shower without the collar. They just keep the neck still until they towel dry and reapply the collar.
