I am weaning off a mid body neck brace and wondering about lifting within reason. If I use the proper lifting procedures can I lift a little heavier items like 10 to 20 pounds? also light floor mopping and sweeping. again 6 weeks out from t3 through t7 fusion

    Thank you

I can’t speak for your surgeon’s protocol regarding recovery and the thoracic fusion. I can only tell you what my protocol is so make sure you speak with your surgeon as his protocol may be very different than mine. I would not let you load this fusion until 3 months. In my opinion, this area (T3-7) is very difficult to brace and activities like mopping and lifting greater than 10 pounds would put an undue burden on the fusion.
