Hello Doc
I just had a mri but unfortunately they did not take any axial views which to me seems like a huge mistake. The tech only took the T1 and T2 weighed scans. But isn’t the axial view the most important in my type of case? It would have allowed the radiologist to look at my rib joints and ligaments. Or does the T1 and T2 sequence also show these joints? I don’t know what to do now. Should I book another MRI? Or should I go for a CT now and hope for the best.in reply to: Thoracic spine issues #28056I am sorry,
So will contrast in mri show inflammation of the joints and disks better? For example if I have you read my mri with no contrast, would you be able to see inflammation of the joints or would you rather have a contrast one. The reason I ask is because I can’t afford too many mris, so want to get it right.in reply to: Thoracic spine issues #28054Sorry about that doctor. Also Doctor can you answer this one last final question.
How should one go about in figuring out if they are experiencing joint dysfunction in their thoracic spine or not. Be it the facets, rib heads or other joints. What diagnostic tools and injections can be helpful?
Thanks. -
