Thank you very much Doctor. That is very helpful and rules out any new issues in the hip. I have two follow up questions if I may ask please.

    1. Are you able to say what condition in the spine might be causing this more specifically? Maybe not Herniation as the pain is not going down the leg. Could this be a strain? Would you agree with my physio who called this “angry discs”. She massaged my back in the right side and it felt better already. It has also healed quite a lot in a week’s time as she had suggested. While she was right, I could not fully understand from her description what causes this exactly? I would like to understand what are the mechanics of such pains?

    2. If the diagnosis above is correct, second question is what to do about this. I really enjoy running – would you recommend I try again and pick back up slowly? Deadlifts I realize you don’t think is a good idea given the shear force.

Many thanks for your kindness and time!

Just to add, no pain at all in crossing my knees while sitting. Thank you very much Dr Corenman.

Thank you very much Dr Corenman for your time and advice.

The pain is surely in the back pocket area. No pain around front pocket or holster area.

Climbing stairs or getting on / off a bike doesn’t cause any noticeable pain.

Sitting in a car seat feels uncomfortable as it does on a comfy recliner (because they all sink in and cause some flexion I think). While getting out of a car seat, I feel some pain in the back pocket area (more upper part) and more generally along the back waist line. Then I will need to walk squeezing in the butt and tummy to avoid it for a bit. Gets better in 5-10 mins. The longer I sit the longer this will last.

SLR on right leg causes this pain also on the back pocket (more on the lower outside corner). Earlier it was the left leg but now it’s only right. It’s close to where the side holster would be but not exactly there.

Thanks very much for taking the time to understand my condition better!
