Abd sorry, would leaving it cause further nerve damage?

Also what can be done at this point, if anything? Can this fix itself over time?

I finally managed to get a new MRI since ive been having ongoing leg pain! This is what it says. At L5S1 there is a small right posterolateral disc osteophyte. The size is much smaller than on the prior exam. It does however appear to contact the right intrathecal nerve root. There is no central stenosis and no foraminal stenosis. No complications related to microfiscectomy. Surgery was March of this year.
Could you explain to me what this all means and would I of benefited from a different proceedure or is this simply an aftermath of surgery may of caused?
    Thanks in advance!

We do have private insurance but not sure if they pay for mri. My spouse has benefits through great west life. They cover dental eye care drugs etc. ill have to check knto that. Im just frustrated as I had questions and concerns and completely forgot about them as I felt rushed. If I sneeze or cough my sciatic nerve still siezes up? Should I be concerned at this point? What about my upper body shifting to the left when I stand up at times is this normal after 3 months since surgery?

Im hoping he will send me for a new MRI so I can get some answers. Thanks again for your response Dr Corenman!
