You would trade a nonpainful, mobile neck for a stiff, achy and possibly miserable neck.

It sounds like you are finally recovering nicely. I am not sure why you were put on Neurontin as this is a nerve medication and is atypical for post-operative pain control. Nonetheless, I assume this medication usage will be short lived and you will be off in a matter of weeks.

You can certainly send your MRI images and I will be happy to review them. Please call 888 888-5310 and talk to Margaret for details.

You can stress about being hit by a falling meteor but the odds are against that experience. I understand your real fear of recurrence but the chances of another disc herniation is still only 2-3%. If you were in Las Vegas with a 97% chance of winning in roulette, you would empty your purse onto the table for that bet. You need to learn to look forward without too much fear. Focus on other situations in your life and with time, the fear will lessen and then disappear. A psychologist can help.

Each office and even each doctor has differing policies regarding what payments are acceptable. Your issue is not just reimbursement with a surgeon but also with the hospital and the anesthesiologist as all parties need to accept the lien prior to surgery.
