in reply to: fusion revision #29455
I sent the CD’s this morning to Lori. They should arrive on Tuesday. I hope I used the correct address. I sent them addressed as follows:
Lori Fugate
Practice Director for
Dr. Donald Corenman
The Steadman Clinic
181 W. Meadow Drive, Suite 400
Vail, CO 81657in reply to: fusion revision #29452I just haven’t been right since the removal of my hardware in March of 2017. Prior to hardware removal I had little to no back pain after my fusion in August of 2015. After removal of hardware I had an slight increase in back pain, but it was manageable. However, since July of this year the pain has increased immensely. Worse then any lower back pain I experienced prior to my fusion. Like you said if the segment has robust solid fusion then it shouldn’t generate pain. At least nothing close to what I’ve been dealing with for months now. I look forward to hearing your opinion after you review my latest round of imaging and providing more details and what conservative treatments I’ve had.
in reply to: fusion revision #29450Thank you Dr. Corenman. I’ve reached out to Lori via email for instructions on sending the discs to your office.
in reply to: Surgical Second Opinion #26267As luck, or misfortune, would have it I took a spill yesterday afternoon and landed hard on my bottom. I ended up in the ER with significant lower back pain. Fortunately, I’m doing better today. While at the ER given my history they performed a CT scan. I confirmed with the tech that the scanner was a 64 slice scanner and the protocol was 1 mm cuts like you prefer. So, I’ll run by the post office on Tuesday and send the CD to your office attention Lori. Now you’ll have 2 CT studies for comparison along with a fresh MRI and a flexion/extension X-ray.
Have a great holiday weekend!
in reply to: Surgical Second Opinion #26258Package mailed. Should be in Lori’s hands on Tuesday. Look forward to speaking with you.
in reply to: Surgical Second Opinion #26255Hi Dr. Corenman. I submitted the request for second opinion from the website this morning. I’m gathering up my CD’s and reports and will mail along with the paperwork I printed out tomorrow. I look forward to your opinion and hope you are able to see something the surgeon who did my fusion and subsequent decompression as a result of heterotopic bone and hardware removal is missing. I have been miserable since having my hardware removed, which in my opinion has me questioning the quality of my fusion mass in spite of being declared “fused”. The imaging may suggest evidence of that, but the clinical picture sure doesn’t match.
