Hey Dr. So I called the Dr yesterday because the site of the fusion and my leg are in a lot of pain. I am very concerned about it so he wants me to come in tomorrow I see him as well he prescribed a Medrol Pack to take. I’m guessing an MRI may be done is it common to be in a lot of pain and hard to move after this time period and after this procedure? Are these signs of never issues, screw back, a shift of the PEEK cage or another issue?

My concern was that something happened to the fusion or theres another issue at hand. Without an MRI i guess i wont be able to know that, or its that i had 3 surgeries in such a short time the back is under more stress then just one.I see the surgeon on the 13th of this month and will tell him all going on, as well as keep monitoring my concern. I will write on the forum to keep everyone up to date.

Hey Dr. its one week away form the 6 week mark and i have not seen much of a change. On top to that i am having an increased amount of pain radiating form my back. Also 2 days ago the pain i had previously in my right leg has now returned, about a week ago i was doing the proper movement to get up from a laying down position on the couch. When i got vertical waist up i had a terrible pain right in the area of the fusion, i had to lay down right after. A few min passed and i got back up with no problem. As the days go on it gets worse and especially in bed its very painful to log roll side to side. I don’t know if this is normal or this is something that may have to be investigated further?

It has now been 15 days since my MITILF using a PEEK cage and 45MM rod, I still experience pain in my leg at times but not as bad as pre op. Its still very hard getting up from a laid down position and sitting position but seems to be getting a little better. Saw the doctor and the wound is ok, the strength has come back in my leg I would say about 60%. I will not be doing any type of rehab for at least 3 to 6 months. So we will see how the healing process continues talk to you soon.

Hey everyone its been 7 days since my fusion surgery and i am not feeling good at all. My leg has pain radiating down it and my back feel pretty bad as well. I am taking into consideration the time frame from surgery is the reason, on top of all the pain the numb feeling is still there as well. Dr. Corenman i look to you for in site on the post op feelings i am having. Thats all for now talk to you all soon.
