in reply to: 3 level cervical fusion C5-T1 #9020I guess my best option is to go with the surgery .I’m becoming a liability on my truck at work .My surgeon basically told me the same thing that you are saying. He said, if I do nothing to address the issues I could have a catastrophic injury. Its just hard to comprehend when I have no pain.Hopefully my nerves respond and my atrophy subsides .
in reply to: 3 level cervical fusion C5-T1 #9017I have had multiple EMG/NCV and a MRI of the brachial plexus. The senior neurophysiologist and neurologist thought the findings were nonspecific and nonconclusive. The MRI was also cleared for any abormalities.Do you still think I need a 3 level cervical fusion?
in reply to: 3 level cervical fusion C5-T1 #9015At the tip of my left index finger i have pins and needles with a numbness.I use to have pins and needles running down my left arm but they have subsided at this time.Prior to my 2nd shoulder surgery (capsillar release) when I was diagnosed with a brachial plexopathy I had constant pain with pins and needles radiating down my left arm and no grip strength. The symptoms are not made worse by neck extension. I do have trouble with fine motor control of my left hand. I also noticed that my muscles in my left arm and hand tend to spasm every so often when I try to use them.I have no imbalance with walking or any long tract signs.
