I got a flex MRI of my neck. I have a black line in my spinal fluid but it’s outside the spine.

Here is my C5-C6 at 45 degrees sitting down. I couldn’t sit up at 90 degrees because I was shaking and having major muscle spasms and the MRI machine couldn’t get the images cause I was moving. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Generally-small images, incomplete series and poor image quality are non-diagnostic when sent here. I can look at the radiologists worded report to help but understand I am looking through a radiologists eyes which are subjective. The motion MRI images by Fonar are of poor quality as is what I find normally. I recommend a normal lie-down MRI of at least 1.5 tesla and hopefully 3.0 tesla with a good technician as even with good machines, poor technicians can make images unreadable.

Don’t forget that MRIs are like the old-time photographs taken in the wild west. IF you did not remain still for 20 seconds, you would have a ghost image. Since there are moving parts that continue with image acquisition (the heart, lungs and spinal fluid come to mind), some “phantom” images might be seen.
