We had a snow storm he fel landing on back and symptoms got worse. They just sent to PT but pain is worse I honestly do not know what else to do I’m tired of medicating him and he has no relief. He can’t work cause of pain and it’s just not normal for a 17 almost 18 year old to be like this when he was active. I get no response from no dr other than he needs to rest. Please help

Scheuermann’s disease can cause the pain you describe but you must make sure there are no pars fractures in the lower lumbar spine. If those have been ruled out, the measure of the curve is important as larger curves might need activity restriction or even bracing. The MRI findings of the endplate changes would be very important for indicating what is causing pain. The facets need to be tested to see if they contribute to the pain.
