How should one go about in figuring out if they are experiencing joint dysfunction in their thoracic spine or not. Be it the facets, rib heads or other joints. What diagnostic tools and injections can be helpful?

So will contrast in mri show inflammation of the joints and disks better? For example if I have you read my mri with no contrast, would you be able to see inflammation of the joints or would you rather have a contrast one. The reason I ask is because I can’t afford too many mris, so want to get it right.Contrast generally is ineffective to demonstrate basic bone and joint issues.
