    I suffer many back issues at 40 yrs old. Severe scoliosis, spurs, stenosis from tailbone to neck, degenerative disk disease through out spine and hips, herniated disks etc etc etc. My main conern is my Syringomyelia. There aelre very few Neurologists who know about ir will even “treat” me as a patient.. due to it. Im lost due to the Rarity. No one wants to help me and so many dont understand it shove my many many symptoms out the window basically telling me they have no clue leaving me to suffer. Its not only paralyzing me. It effects my breathing as my body literally stops breathing on its own…. again.. drs and the only neurologist who i found out 8 years later thats using me as his lab friggin rat… ugh.. tells me basicalky cant happen.. gggr it does!!!!! It also effects my bladder, intestines and eyes.. but absolutely no one will help me. No one will listen to me. I need help!!! I am tired of all this chronic pain. All these symptoms yet being shoved off and not listened too!! I now stutter at times. Have vertigo. Lose my balance a lot.. so many many things i feel so alone. Im slowly dying and no one will help me. I know im “broken” but i want help.. i want to live!!!! Please help me!!!! [email protected]

    Syringomyelia can cause some of your symptoms but not all. Eye symptoms will not be generated by syringomyelia. You need to find a neurosurgeon who specializes in this disorder. If the syringo is really causing multiple symptoms, the cavity can be “drained” with a shunt that drains into the abdomen.
