    hello dr.

    i am ashish . a 17 yr old student suffering from spondylolisthesis l4-s1 from last 5 years . had undergone all sort of treatments whether be it medication, physiotherapy , yoga, exercises, accupunture , massages , cupping , etc. but no improvement at all. rather my pain has started moving upwars till my neck vertebras .

    i cant even sit for 15 min. and after i i cant even lie down proprly due pain in my vrtebral region my body takes some time to get my vertebra be alinged in straight position.

    so just wanted to know whether i should go for a spinal fusion or not…..

    You probably have only a one level spondylolisthesis (L5-S1). You should go through a complete physical therapy program and injections prior to considering surgery. If you have failed this program and continue with unrelenting pain, you might be a candidate for surgery. Your history has to match your physical examination and imaging. You might need diagnostic blocks but that is unlikely.
