    Dr. Corenman,

I will find a good specialist this time. I did forget to tell you one other thing and I’m not sure if it has any relevance or not. Last year I had a swollen lymph node in the left side of my neck, (it was there for over 6 months) and I was sent to see an ENT doctor. The doctor removed it for testing; luckily it came back negative. But the doctor said he was surprised that it was so big, he said normal size was 2 to 3 centimeters, this one was 8 centimeters.
My concern now is that there is another swollen lymph node about an inch below where the other one was. Could this have anything to do with any of this neck pain?

    Thank you,
    Patty

Swollen lymph nodes are generally not related to any problems with degenerative disc or facet disease or compressed nerves. You must consult with your ENT physician for information regarding the lymph nodes.
