    Only one surgery in 2006.

I received results back from my MRI, and there is no scar tissue compression of the nerve. I have reherniated L5-S1, causing compression. What is your opinion on the x-close product that tethers the annulus tear closed? Do you use it?

    Thank you, Ryan

I have found that most herniations tear through the annulus and there is really nothing left to suture back. I have investigated this product and worry about the plastic anchor pulling out and injuring a nerve. It would make sense if there is an avulsion of the annulus from the bone (very rare) to repair ligament to bone.
