    Hi Doctor,

Ive had pain the last 10 years in the sacral area, slowly getting worse, with varying degrees of sexual dysfunction and pain while sitting/twisting. Ive had discemtomies at the L4-L5 and L5-S1 areas with no improvement.

I had a pelvic ct scan which turned out normal and several lumbar mris with some mildly bulging disks- but my pain is sacral. I was hoping the pelvic ct scan might show a tarlov cyst or something but now I am considering a research study regarding sacral stenosis diagnosed via a myleogram.

The patient in this study has symptoms like mine, but I have milder symptoms.

What would be the best way to diagnose this rare condition? Is there a sacral myleogram? or do I have to hope a lumbar myelogram shows negative changes like the patient in the study?

What is your opinion of the value of a 3T MRI vs a 1.5T MRI in my situation?

    -Charles
