    Do you mean oral steroids? And What would you recommend instead?

    Epidural steroid injection. If your problem is truly from epidural fibrosis which I can’t confirm or deny from this distance, you might consider a neurolysis surgery which is technically demanding. The nerve root is freed up from the adhesions surgically and a non-reactive membrane is placed on the root to prevent recurrent adhesions.
