I am interested to know if the Doctor has experience in TDR in the lumbar spine at L2, and specifically if an L2 artificial disk is available from a manufacturer.
I have read that Active L is nor recommended for lumbar patients with radicular pain, for example, and they show having only Lumbar disks for L4 and below.

I would like to know if patients with L2 nerve compression and leg nerve radicular pain are within the group who may be considered for this surgery, following review of Mri and associated records. I understand that you might do an online evaluation, however this question would precede that, hopefully.

I am not a fan of any artificial disc replacement for the lumbar spine (the cervical spine is different). The approach is from the front of the belly and a large clearing of the great vessels is needed to implant this device. This causes scar formation making the removal of these devices dangerous due to adhesions. Any artificial disc will eventually wear out. Fixing a failed cervical spine disc is not too difficult but if and or when a lumbar device fails, getting this device out can be life-threatening.
