Why am I having a lot of popping and cracking in my spinal fusion from T2-L1? Is this a sign of failed fusion and or fractures in my spine ? And does it mean there is movement in the supposedly fused joints? The popping and cracking is a lot different than the soft tissue popping and catching I had before. My xrays have been clear in the past but this popping and cracking in the fusion site is getting worse.

“Popping and cracking” at the fusion site could originate from the site (pseudoarthrosis) or from the area above or below the fusion. Do your X-rays note a solid fusion?
