Do you treat Parsonage-Turner Syndrome? I have EMG, MRI images, and MRI report. I have been bounced around from Dr. to They all keep telling me that I need surgery ASAP but no one will touch it. I was told by the person who performed my MRI that no one locally will be able to do the surgery. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Treatment of Parsonage-Turner Syndrome is mainly watchful waiting. There are some physicians who consider an antiviral drug or a steroid as a treatment medication during the acute stages. Parsonage-Turner Syndrome is not surgical but there are disorders that mimic this syndrome, especially acute herniated discs. This is a standard surgery (ACDF or ADR depending upon the disc condition and insurance) so should not be a stretch for a local surgeon.
