Unfortunately, this service fee is not covered by insurance at this point. If you want to call, ask for Lori Fugate, my office manager for details.

What dose of the steroid and over what time period would you recommend?

Had a 90 minute evaluation today from a PT. (very good guy) known him for 25 years. Based on what he did today with me he is concluding that I do have a decent degree of scoliosis and that is the main reason for my discomfort of my lower back pain and pain discomfort on the left side of my leg.(sciatica) As I show each Dr. I see-when I hit my left lower back/QL muscle area with my fist(not too hard)- shooting pain happens. PT person said that is why all of the cortisone shots I have received in the L4 & L5 and the QL muscle has done nothing to relieve my pain. With that said-what options do I have to get out of pain? I understand that the scoliosis is not fixable and at the age of 60 I need to get out of this lower back pain/sciatica issue. Of course I will do PT and I go to Yoga class about 3 to 4 times a week-been doing Yoga now for the last 4 weeks and will continue with that for a very long time. I like it. Is nerve block an option to get out of this pain? Is there some kind of surgery I might have to consider? Of course I would like to avoid that. Other options? I know now cortisone shots are useless based on my situation. Thank You, Mark
