I don’t think discogel is an effective product as it does not address annular tears which are the origin of the degenerative changes in most patients.

    Hi Michal,
I am 3,5 month after discogel injection. I am fine. I have no pain in back but I do not lift heavy items, because it is to early. so it is hard to say that it is okay or not. I think that I can put honest opinion after 10-12 months.
Rehabilitation takes a lot of time but I hope that it will be better than before injection.

    Good afternoon, Dr. Corenman,
A good friend of mine has a hernia (L5 S1 7mm L4 S5 5mm). He’s been struggling with that since 2012 when he was told that he has an intervertebral hernia. After having a chiropractic treatment he’s been ok as in he didn’t have almost any pain. After that he had returned to his sports and was very much active in his martial arts. In September 2015 he started experiencing back pain after being involved in some construction works. This time he had pelvis organs disfunction, as in he had trouble urinating. In July 2016 he had a treatment in Seoul, South Korea after experiencing an excruciating pain in his back, neck, legs. At that point he wasn’t able either stand for a long time or walk for that matter. His treatment in Seoul included acupunctures, physical therapy and a Sinbaro injections. Now he is doing better as in he is able to walk, his back pain reduced significantly. Now he is thinking about going through a discectomy and trying Discogel. We would appreciate your opinion on both Discogel and discectomy, and his disease in general,
    Thank you for your time
