I have had 3 surgeries sense 2011 EMG shows slow signals at L3,4,5,S1 from surgeries at these levels. Now I have a non-union fusion at L4,5 0% bone growth Hardware from L3 to L5. does the non-union fusion have to be fixed? Is it dangerous to leave it? It is painful but and I am going to have an ALIF to fix it but just wondering what if I did not have it fixed want could happen?

“Slow signals” in an EMG are generally not from a nerve problem in the spine.

The non-union is another story. If this level is painful or unstable (noted by flexion/extension X-rays), then it will have to be repaired. If it is not painful and does not move, you have a stable pseudoarthrosis and do not have to do anything about it.
