I have a 7mm posterior disc osteophyte at T-12/L-1 and a 4mm posterior disc osteophyte at L-4/L-5. Is it rare? I have not been able to find any information regarding this on the web. Could you explain to me what it is exactly and what treatment options are available? (I had this imaging done in May of 2022. In December 2022 I was at a PT session and used a medicine ball and almost immediately had extreme pain in my back. Prior to using the medicine ball a occasionally had mild pain in that area. I am awaiting a call back to be scheduled for new imaging to see if anything has changed since May)
Also noted on my most recent imaging is mild degenerative change with vacuum phenomenon of bilateral sacroiliac joints. What causes vacuum phenomenon in joints?
    Thanks!
