Thank you Dr Corenman, greatly appreciate your time and expertise , was wondering
Do you think I require surgery for the Moderate narrowing right foramina and mild narrowing left neural foramina?

. is this the cause of the wide spread symptoms of nerve pain in my mouth throat teeth , as well as head neck arms legs torso..etc… As I have it head to toe … especially the mouth and throat are extremely severe 24-7 … I have bone pain , muscle stiffness as well as pain… but I am still functional with exception to severe pain throughout non stop. I have been also getting alot of the nerve pain in my head more so since I fell , I had these symptoms before but not as extreme as now, when I fell I landed on my knees , not so much my back or neck …Thank you .

    Sincerely Laura

You note “wide spread symptoms of nerve pain in my mouth throat teeth , as well as head neck arms legs torso..etc”. Your disorder “Moderate narrowing right foramina and mild narrowing left neural foramina” at one level in the cervical spine will not cause your symptoms as you describe them. You might have a metabolic or inflammatory disorder such as SLE. rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia. Consider a visit to a Rheumatologist.

Thank you , I have been tested for all the above and then some , not one medical condition other then these symptoms , as they were are started from taking a wrong full prescribed medication for 4 months for something unrelated to what the prescription was prescribed for , Peri menopause common symptoms of burning in feminine area … Never had a medication prior in my entire life prior to taht time in my life , regretfully so…

Moderate narrowing right foramina and mild narrowing left neural foramina”, is that issue common , and is it something to be concerned about in the future , is there anything that can be done to avoid progression , or anything to make it regress …Any suggestions be helpful please and thank you

    Happy Thanksgiving

The mild to moderate narrowing of the cervical foramen is common and an indication of some degeneration of the cervical disc. Since the disc has no blood supply, there is not much you can do for this condition. If you are involved in contact sports or activities that require much impact (tennis, running) that impact can wear the disc faster. Nothing can make these spurs regress.
