Please help me understand what this means.

L4-5: Facet arthropathy with moderate narrowing of the neural foramina.

L5-S1: Degenerative changed with desiccation and disc space narrowing. Large left central disc protrusion with mass effect on transversing left S1 nerve root. Facet arthropathy with moderate narrowing of the neural foramina bilaterally.

I got these results today and am seeing a spine specialist on Friday. I am just trying to prepare for what they are going to tell me.

    Thank you very much.

You have degenerative facet disease as your underlying disorder which could give you some symptoms. See https://neckandback.com/conditions/degenerative-spondylolisthesis-or-spondlylolysthesis/.

Your main problem is a large disc herniation at L5-S1 left compressing the left S1 nerve root. See https://neckandback.com/conditions/symptoms-of-lumbar-nerve-injuries/ and
