Dear Donald Corenman,
I’m from India and I found your forum very informative.
Actually, my elder brother has Back pain since 3 years but suddenly he got a severe pain while waking up from the bed.
He has gone for MRI and I don’t know much about the medical language written in the reports. So, I want to suggest me what has happened to him.MRI Impression: MRI result reveals degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine at L5-S1 showing left paracentral small extruded disc intending theca and left side descending S1 nerve root . Left side neural foraminal is patent.
Please help us ASAP! Thanking You in anticipation!
Your truly,
Asuutosh KumarThe description of your brother’s back pain is incomplete. See the section “https://neckandback.com/conditions/how-to-describe-your-history-and-symptoms-of-lower-back-and-leg-pain/” to fully describe what your brothers symptoms are.
Your brother has a small disc herniation. You can read both of these to understand more of this condition. https://neckandback.com/conditions/causes-of-lower-back-pain/ and https://neckandback.com/conditions/herniated-disc-lumbar-spine/
