my MRI results are- the L5-S1 intervertebral disc space level shows a prominent central subligamentous discal extrusion that does efface the thecal sac bu does not cause high-grade central canal stenosis. The L5 nerve roots exit without entrapment bilaterally. The S1 nerve roots show normal no significant mechanical impingement. my question is what type of surgery would be done for this if any at all. Also, what would the recovery time be.
