    Dear Dr.
    I would appreciate your thoughts on this report.

    My one month old baby boy undergone Bilateral Hip Ultrasound.

    Clinical Indication: Asymmetrical hip click of right hip joint.

    Findings:
    Both femoral heads are appropriately parked in the acetabular fossa bilaterally.
    there is coverage of more than 50% of acetabulum over the femoral head.
    Right alpha angle is 67 degrees and beta angle is 32 degrees.
    Left alpha angle is 66 degrees and beta angle is 33 degrees.
    There is no evidence of congenital hip dislocation on either side.

    Impression:
    Sonographic type 1 hip joints bilaterally.
    No evidence of congenital hip dislocation on either side.

    It has been 25 years since I was at a Shriner’s hospital so my expertise on hip dysplasia is not as good as you need. The report appears normal but you need an expert if you have further questions.
