after hours in the car crash they told me I had to slipped discs and multiple fractures in my neck since I was basically out of it because of how much pain medicine they gave me I don’t remember what they told me they were going to do but my husband said that they were going to put metal rods in my neck and screws and stuff I keep trying to look up different ways of having different surgery and it seems like they cut open the front of my neck and the back of my neck like as if they did two surgeries I would like to know what kind of surgeries you would have done because they told mine hubby badass they did not perform the two surgeries that I would have ended up paralyzed from the neck down!?!?!

This is mere speculation but it appears that you might have had an unstable fracture of your neck. Most likely, they performed an ACDF at two levels or possibly a corpectomy (removal of the vertebral body). They felt your neck was unstable enough that they also performed a posterior fusion (the reason the incision in the back of your neck).

If your neck was truly unstable, allowing motion could have caused cord injury when the vertebra displaced.
