I am curious to know if it is possible to help relieve back pain and any curviture of the spine with a device which would place the spinal colum in the correct allignment while laying upon it. I have had several ideas concerning this but have not been able to find such a product. I do not have alot confidence in chiropractors and have quite a physical job as I am in nursing. I am interested in your oppinions

There are devices that are designed to be used by the scoliosis patient to correct curvature when sleeping. The most common one is the Charleston Bending Brace. This device has been used with varying success rates and most scoliosis surgeons do not use it anymore.

A general device for spine posture would probably not be too effective as it, by nature would have to create pressure points on the body which would be uncomfortable to sleep with.
