    Dr. Corenman,
I spoke with Sarah and mailed out the necessary paperwork and MRI on a cd with a arrival date of no later than next Wednesday August 29. She mentioned a phone consultation but I am actually in ultrasound school full time during the week so I’m not really reachable by phone. If it is ok with you, you can put your evaluation of my mri here.

I wanted your opinion because after seeing a neck orthopedic and neurosurgeon, I am highly confused..the neck orthopedic I saw said I have cervical disc degeneration, more so than someone should have for my age/28 years old and the neurosurgeon said nothing is wrong with my neck although I’ve been in pain since Mid July.

I look forward to your input! I truly appreciate your time and feedback.

The MRi/paper work will come in labeled under Kristen W…
let me know if you need more info to help distinguish me =)

    -Kristen

It is important that you make sure your images are connected with your thread here. I receive many requests and images like MRIs. I cannot keep everything straight without much help. It does get confusing at times!

Hi Dr. Corenman, I sent my paper work and cd on August 24 however I emailed sarah after realizing the cd did not contain all of the needed images so I resent another disc around August 29 , the cd is labeled Kristen and I had the title of this thread with the cd , just wanted to see if you had received it yet. Thanks!

Dr. Corenman, we spoke yesterday on the phone about my symptoms in my pinky/ring finger possibly stemming from thoracic outlet syndrome or the tunnel of guyon? Should a neurologist be able to diagnose this, or what type of docotor would you recommend I see? I forgot to ask you that!

A good diagnostician is needed to ferret out the cause of your symptoms. EMGs are good for significant peripheral nerve compression but mild compression may not be demonstrated and thoracic outlet syndrome cannot be diagnosed by EMG. Occasionally a nerve compression can be missed by the machine or by the technique used to obtain the readings.

The two doctors that typically diagnose these disorders are PM&R docs and neurologists. A good spine doc would also suffice.
