I was sick from food poisoning for 3 days. I ran to the bathroom and slipped and fell. It hurt but didn’t think it was serious. I’m 30 and healthy. After 10/days n bed my friends made me go to the hospital. I was there for over a week and left with a back brace and a perception for 180 30mg Roxy 90 norcos and 60 somas.they worked for 4 months then the pain was unbelievable. So I did the worse thing ever I tried herion. It help but I don’t want to do n e thing. So I have decided to get surgery. It has been 5 monts. Is surgery still a option or am I going to b a hermit on drugs for the rest of my life?

Fractures of T5-T8 can be relatively benign (not too much of a problem) or can be very problematic. It really depends upon the amount of angulation (called the kyphosis), the amount of canal compromise (the amount of narrowing of the spinal canal) and the amount of stability or instability.

I hope you have been off narcotics (including heroin) as narcotics will increase the perception of pain in many individuals if used for a longer period of time.

Please let us know how your consultation with a spine surgeon goes and keep us informed.
