I recently had an MRI due to neck pain, pain/numbness in right shoulder going down right arm. I have also noticed some weakness, falling asleep feeling in my right leg and increase in dropping things and loss of balance. the MRI shows some cord compression at C3-4 and c-5-6

I was told I have cervical stenosis with myelopathy and that i need to have 2 surgeries ACDF, c3-c7 and decompression, fusion.

Are the surgeries usually done back to back or is there a time frame between the 2 and is this usual to have to do 2 surgeries?

What would be the results of not having the surgeries?

This is all new to me so any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks so much
