You need to leave your thoughts of neck alignment causing your heart arrhythmia at the back door. There is no connection. Sympathetics exit through the thoracic spine and will not be affected by spinal alignment. The Vagus nerve is the parasympathetic supply to the heart and exits from the skull via the jugular foramen and is not affected by spinal alignment.

Go to a cardiologist to get a workup and forget the spine as the source of your cardiac problems. Do not listen to your chiropractor regarding the source of this disorder.

so Dr. Derotating the vertabrae in the cervical spine if I were to opt to have surgey will not repair this condition? my chiropractor said that the right side of the brain controls the left and vice versa. Therefore, the way I am thinking (anxiety) all the time is the way my body responds elevevated heart rate all day long >>>>Thanks Maria

You need to stop taking cardiological advise from your chiropractor. Go see a cardiologist. I will say it again. Your neck is not responsible for your cardiac disorder.

Thank you Dr. Corenman. I am just so confused at this point, because my chiropractor is stating that becuse of the rotation in my neck the way the thoughts are entering my mind is causing my body to react like this because the right side of the brain is weaker than the right so its causing an elevated heart rate. this is something that can not be operated on correct? thanks for all your help

You need a cardiologist, not a chiropractor.

Dr. Corenman I just received a bunch or new xrays of the cervical soine c1 through c6 are rotated to the right you dont feel the brain is sending messages to the left which is affecting the increased heart rate all the time not the bones persay but the way the bones are turned which is casuing the brain to send messages to the left. Is there any way a scoliosis surgeon can remove the rotation from the vertabrae if this is the main cause of the increased heart rate the way the brain is functioning due to the turn in my neck?
