    hi Dr,
im from Australia so treatment here may be different ,
I don’t see my spine surgeon for another 3 weeks, so im just trying to find out some more information
regarding my condition, I had a mri 3 weeks ago and just saw my regular orthopaedic surgeon the other day for a follow up, the report came back with ” there is disk degeneration with disk space narrowing at c6/7,
there is moderately severe left sided foraminal stenosis due to uncinate spurring with left c7 nerve root impingement, there is posterior disk bulging but no flattening or distortion of the cord,

what would your recommended treatment be?, im trying to get some idea before I go and see my surgeon, so I know what to expect,

    thanks
    nick

The treatment for this disorder really depends upon your symptoms and physical examination. If you have no symptoms and no neurological deficits, we would not be having this discussion in the first place.

You have a report noting “there is disk degeneration with disk space narrowing at c6/7,there is moderately severe left sided foraminal stenosis due to uncinate spurring with left c7 nerve root impingement”. This could cause a left C7 nerve involvement.
