Conclusion to MRI scan: mild multilevel degenerative arthrosis with straightening of the cervical lordosis. There are mixed soft disc and spondylotic abnormalities at the c4-5 and c5-6 levels resulting in th light conturing of the ventral cord. No definite evidence of prior traumatic injury is seen. What does this mean. I was in car accident in April. Is this the result of the accident. Thanks

Thanks for sending the MRI reading but without your symptoms and the results of the physical examination, the MRI is not very helpful. The MRI needs to be correlated with your pain and dysfunction to determine what is wrong. Many patients with awful looking MRIs have no symptoms.

I was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago.A guy ran a red light light, he was going 45mph, I had just started thru the intersection. I was going north,he hit the passenger side, turned the car to face west. The force of the impact knocked my glasses off my head into the back seat. I did nt see him coming,at the time of impact I shut my eyes, but I saw a flash of white light. I sustained a full thickness tear to my rotator cuff. Cant raise my arm up or out to side. I have pins and needles in my hand and arm from the elbow down, pain and numbness in my shoulder, soreness in my neck, distant ringing in the ears when I turn my head to the right, pain in my shoulder and it fills like fullness in my neck. The mri also said c4-5:shallow mixed broad-based displacement with superimposed small soft central protrusion contributes to light contouring of the ventral cord. Also uncovertebral hypertrophic degenerative changes resulting in mild right-sided exiting neural foraminal stenosis.c5-6partial disc height loss, mild retrolisthesis, mixed broad-based displacement contributes to light contouring of the ventral cord.also uncovertebral hypertrophic degenerative changes resulting in mild bilateral exiting neural foraminal stenosis.c6-7 shallow disc displacement and uncovertebral hypertrophic degenerative changes without compressive arthropathy.c7-ti small soft central protusion without compressive arthropathy.c3-4minimal anterolisthesis, small soft central protusion without compressive arthropathy. Thanks for your help

All I can say is that I am sorry for your pain. I know how you feel, at least I have empathy for how you must feel.
